Your birth story. Documenting your strength to endure beautiful moments through emotive storytelling.

—  Birth Photography—

The best blind date you have ever been on.

I never knew how significantly life changing my birthing experience would be until I lived it for the first time.

I also never knew how quickly the memories fade away and are replaced with a narrative. The timeline skews, the details become foggy and before you know it all you are left with is a story that doesn't feel like you were actually 'present' for. This is where documenting your birth becomes so important. Being able to flick back and see how events unfolded and drift back to the time you first laid your eyes on your newest love. When your partner realises they are now a parent. When you hold your world and heart in your arms.

Birth is raw. Birth is beautiful. There are no second chances. No do overs. Only the moment between you, your body and your loved ones present. You will never regret capturing your special moments through birth photography.

As a birth photographer I have attended a variety of different birthing situations including hospital births, home births, VBAC (Vaginal birth after cesarean) births, surrogate births, cesarean births, water births and induction births. Each and everyone has brought me to tears of the beauty and strength of the birthing women and their supportive partners and team.

What about home birth photography?

Deciding to birth at home requires a plethora of knowledge and trust by the birthing woman. Birth teams are often careful selected and choosing the right birth photographer to help document your birth is important to you and me. Having documented home births with both independent midwives and hospital home birth programs I understand the intimate space created to facilitate a birth in your sacred space. If you are having a home birth and would like to see examples of my home birth photography you can read Cindy’s home birth story. If you are considering your options you can learn more here.

Curios to know more

Curious to know more, have a read of some of the commonly asked questions. If you know this is the story you don’t want to miss let’s chat now. You never know I may be the birth photography for you.

Thank you so much to Amy for capturing the birth of our son so beautifully. I wanted to be able to look back and remember the day and remember how it made me feel and to also see myself doing my very best work! These photographs are my memory and they are absolutely priceless.

During the birth i didn’t even notice you were there, which is exactly how i hoped it would be. I never felt like i was being looked at or being photographed, i was able to just to do what i needed to do, peacefully without interruption while you silently documented this experience for me.

I look at the photos almost daily, i honestly treasure them. Rather than remembering the birth of my baby boy as a painful experience i get to look back over and see how absolutely amazing it was, and feel so proud of myself and my partner.

Thank you Amy! I look forward to seeing you at the birth of my next baby :)
